In my blog this week, I'd like to touch on the topic of Cultural Appreciation and Cultural Appropriation. There is a huge difference between appreciating someone's culture and appropriating it. In the world of fashion it is no different. Designers from all over the world have beautiful cultures and have amazing ways to incorporate their culture in their work. But unfortunately not everyone see it that way. Other designers will take designs from other cultures with little to no research. Making their design not turn to the culture at all.  A brand that is Cultural Appreciation is House Of Wandering Silk, The owner of this brand is Katherine Neumann, while she was from Sydney Australia, she traveled all over the world, as well as a humanitarian aid before creating her brand.   What is more magical than the new Jimmy Choo X Sailor Moon Collaboration?! In June of 2022 in the Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon Museum in Tokyo, Japan, not yet coming to the U.S until this year. They have more than just shoes. With this new collaboration Jimmy Choo released hand bags, tote bags, phone cases, wallets, shoes and more. Jimmy Choo also collaborated with DJ Honey Dijon to release two new songs for this line.  I have been a huge Sailor Moon fan for a while now and when I saw the release of these shoes I was over the moon! But my dream of buying them was quickly gone. Even with something as simple as the phone case or key chain can cost more than $300. While Jimmy Choo is a designer brand, I am curious what you think of the price. Is over $300 enough for a key chain from Jimmy Choo or is it overpriced. 

Hello Everyone! I hope you are all doing well! I am so excited to be able to have this chance to create this blog! I love doing things like this where I get to design how it looks and share things I love with others! I have a wonderful family and a really awesome sibling who I love to the farthest galaxy and back! We are so alike sometimes that it feels like they read my mind sometimes!  Hi! My name is Carly! I am a freshman at RCBC! I wanted to make a blog about all sorts of things I love! I really wanted to create a space where I can post things that makes me and my heart happy! One huge thing I love is fashion. How people can make such creative and amazing things always blows my mind! Every since I was little I have always loved many different styles of fashion, from more of a princess style with fancy dresses to comfortable wear with sweatshirts and sweatpants, I love it all!  Since I was a kid I have loved things like cosplay and the arts! I love to create and learn things! A lot of people I follow on my social medias are people who cosplay and It makes me so excited and happy! Much like other nerodivergent people, i tend to hyperfixate a whole lot, so having a space where I can talk about things I love, was really important to me!
